Watch: This is What Pipeline Did After the Pipe Masters Was Suspended

Jamie O'Brien shows us what could’ve been.

As a fan of professional surfing, it doesn’t get more exciting than a BIG Pipe swell lining up inside the Pipe Masters window. So, rewind a few days and the WSL were licking their lips at a forecast which showed a proper Pipe swell lining up for their contest.

But Covid had other plans for the WSL, and after a couple of positive cases within the production team, plus WSL CEO himself, Eric Logan, returning a positive test result, the event was iced by the authorities just as the swell was building.

Everyone not involved with the comp cheered (that they’d be able to surf Pipe during the swell, not so much that Covid had been released into the community) including JOB, who dropped this little kick-in-the-guts edit from the swell, which the WSL had to watch unfold from the sidelines.
