Watch: Victoria Vergara’s Elegant Glide

The French girl who gets to have all the fun

Victoria Vergara, cross-steps between Hossegor and Reunion Island in pursuit of a career that she describes as a mixture of pro surfing and modeling. Ah, it seems some people really do enjoy glamorous lives. Of course, there are sharks to dodge in Reunion Island and right now in France you can’t even paddle out due to the harsh, Covid-19 restrictions.

Clip director Morgan Massenn has a way of using his camera to celebrate the beauty and artistry of surfing. Of his current subject, he explains “I first met Victoria on Reunion Island in 2011, and have since had some amazing adventures with her around the world, watching her develop into the incredible surfer and person she is today.”

This one will have you gliding through Thursday afternoon and contemplating a late surf on the log.
