This Cloudbreak edit is a reminder why we all love the Brazilian screwfoot.
Yago Dora currently hovers near the tour cutoff in 21st spot. That rank is far from a reflection of the electric surfing the young Brazilian is capable of. We’ve seen glimmers here and there on tour, most notably in a few heats at Teahupoo where the shackles came off and he fell into the groove of his aesthetically pleasing progressive routine.
Here, at Cloudbreak, another pacific reef pass of note, Yago puts on a display that reminds us all of the talent he possesses and also that sometimes a tour ranking doesn’t mean shit.
